FC Titograd in the draw of the 1st round of the EL draw

FC Titograd players – under the old name, after 28 years – have begun the preparations for the European competition.
Aside from the new name and the new emblem, another novelty is the captain, Mirko Raicevic, who is obviously far from ending his career – he will play in the matches of the 1st round of the EL, under the guiding hand of the coach Aleksandar Miljenovic.
The Monday draw in Nyon will decide the opposing teams.
By then, but afterwards as well, FC Titograd needs to find some reinforcements. Marko Cetkovic has transferred to Sutjeska, Admir Adrovic and Stefan Cicmil are also on a lookout for new teams, Ratkovic has also left in search of new successes.
“Status of Jovan Nikolic is uncertain, he is training with us, but he is waiting for something new. Bukorac and Tomic are still our players, but are not in training.”
With a few new players that are on the wait, FC Titograd will rely on the fresh reinforcement.
“Our choice is to give new players as much space as possible. There are many talented players, since my arrival Marko Milickovic has achieved progress, earlier on he hasn’t had the minutes he plays now, but he has gained trust through his behaviour and capabilities.”
Titograd has preferential treatment at the draw of the 1st round, and may expect an easier draw than Buducnost and Rudar. Siroki brijeg and Ferencvaros are the toughest opponents, but there is a number of easier ones, such as Birkirkara from Malta, Riga from Latvia.
“We have a preferential treatment, but we do not perceive ourselves as a threat, there are very good teams, but also some smaller ones. Ambitions of the club obviously entail the 2nd round, the financial side notwithstanding,” Miljenovic concludes.
FC Titograd will be training at Zlatibor from June 23rd until July 5th.
