RESPONSE TO THE PRESS RELEASE OF THE UNION OF PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF MONTENEGRO: TITOGRAD DOES NOT OWE TO ANYONE
OFK Titograd feels the urge to respond to, at the very least, a false statement by the Union of professional football players of Montenegro (UPFPM), in which this organization deceives the football, sports, and the entire public of Montenegro.
At the moment, OFK Titograd has no due and unpaid debts to any employee of the club, counting football players.
There are rulebooks in the club, a disciplinary rule and a reward rule, and we adhere to these rulebooks. These rulebooks signed all football players and the professional staff, and we submitted them to the FAM.
Based on the adopted rulebooks, we calculate football players’ incomes, scholarships and awards.
Those who signed the UPFPM statement should have visited the premises of FAM first and inspect the documents held by this major football institution. Then, all that would have been more than clear to them.
People from OFK Titograd are aware that this is, clearly, a matter of ignorance and superficial approach to what UPFPM considered as a problem. And such is the statement of the UPFPM.
Because, apart from the unpaid obligations, they do not emphasize the fact that, with their hard work, effort and results on the field, players could have earn significant bonuses, multiply exceeding their monthly wages and scholarships.
We are sorry that UPFPM takes easily every gossip from those are not on the field, but who, with their false statements, try to undermine their colleagues and people who give their best to bring the football in Montenegro to an adequate level.
Those who deal with lies do not deserve a minute of OFK Titograd’s attention, let alone the time devoted to writing this statement.
However, for the sake of truth, we made an exception, even though we gave them a publicity, they do not deserve.
