Dejan Savićević 

Dejan Savićević was born on September 15, 1966 in Titograd, now Podgorica. He played in the position of offensive midfielder. With two Champions League trophies, he is the most successful player in the history of Montenegro.

He won the Golden Sport badge for the year 1991. In the same year he was ranked second in the selection for the best player of Europe.

In his career, Savicevic played for OFK Titograd, Buducnost, Crvena Zvezda, Milan and Rapid. He won the Champions League twice, once with Crvena Zvezda in 1991, and the other time with Milan in 1994.

The nickname “genius” was given to him by the president of Milan, Silvio Berlusconi, because of his magical dribbles that adorned his game.

He played 56 games for the national team of Yugoslavia and scored 19 goals. He made his debut on October 29, 1986. against Turkey in Split. He also played three matches at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, when SFR Yugoslavia took fifth place. In 1998., in France, he played two matches. SR Yugoslavia ended that World Cup as 10th.

The last match in which he wore the national jersey was against Croatia in Zagreb (2: 2).

At the end of 2001, he took over the duty of the coach of Serbia and Montenegro, which he held until June 2003.

Since 2004, he has been the president of the Football Association of Montenegro (FAM).
